How you will die
In 2021, there were 25 million Australians and 171,000 of them died (0.7%).
These are the top reasons why:

However, for a male in his thirties, much of this is irrelevant - he is obviously not going to die from Parkinson's disease or dementia. So how do we estimate his personalised risk?
For males aged 30-39 years, there were 1814 deaths in 2022 (of 1.9 million men). This is 36 men every week, and 96 per 100,000 annually. Causes:
- Suicide
 - Accidental poisoning
 - Land transport accidents
 - Coronary heart disease
 - Other

For females aged 30-39 years, there were 903 deaths in 2022 (of 1.9 million women). This is 17 women every week, and 47 per 100,000 annually. Causes:
- Suicide
 - Accidental poisoning
 - Breast cancer
 - Other
 - Liver disease

But what if our mid-thirties male is an avid BASE jumper, with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and a known intracerebral ACoA aneurysm? Is he still most likely to die from suicide?
Tailored risk stratification is the crux of predicting personalised morbidity and mortality.
